Encerite Wax has been guarding “the beauty and health of the wood” since 1927, when A Enceradora inaugurated production in its shop in Avenida da República, right in the centre of Lisbon. The factory has since moved elsewhere, but its formula, distinguished with gold medals at the Portuguese Great Industrial Exhibitions in 1932 and 1933, remains untouched. Both the tin and the wide range of colours, including the poetic lavender, remain the same. Instructions: apply with a cloth and leave to dry for approximately one hour. Polish with a soft and clean cloth to obtain the magnificent shine and aroma characteristic of so many Portuguese wooden floors.
