Founded in Braga in 1894, Confiança Soap and Perfume Factory has managed to keep up with the times, offering a wide range of high quality products. It started by adopting fashionable foreign names to its soaps and went on to create a trend of Portuguese themed labels in the 1940s and 1960s, inspired by social or cultural events. Therefore, Confiança’s archive tells the story of the Portuguese people and its preferences. As one can tell from the re-edition of 15 historic soaps, an exclusive A Vida Portuguesa. Purchased by the old rival Ach. Brito in 2008, it keeps bringing back charming retro labels, creating new, sophisticated products and maintaining a strong presence in the luxury market.
