“Gold over blue”: the term takes us to the period in which the magnificent Baroque blue painted tiles (cobalt oxide) were often associated with the use of gilt. Their theatrical and scenography characteristics recreate fictional spaces through the use os perspective. They had an extraordinary spread throughout the Portugueses territory and the former Portugueses and especially in Brazil.
