Sinopse: Cartas a Uma Ditadura is a disturbing dip in obscurantism that dominated Portugal for over 50 years A hundred letters written by females, in 1958, were found by chance in a used book store that don't read them because I thought they were love letters. Respond to a circular sent by a mysterious movement of support for the dictatorship of which there is no reference in the history books. The circular that responded was never found but the cards at hand, it was an invitation for women mobilized on behalf of peace, order, and above all in defence of the Savior: Salazar. In confronting these women today with the ghosts of the past, and thanks to a previously unreleased archival material, letters to a dictatorship is a disturbing dip in obscurantism that dominated Portugal for more than 50 years."
