Vira Lobos comes from mountain strawberry trees planted on land that is 500 million years old, a testament to the sustainability of the primordial flora of Beira Baixa. The fruits are carefully harvested by hand and the brandy is slowly distilled in copper stills, preserving its delicate aromas and flavours. The result: an intense, smooth, wonderful and traditionally fruity brandy.

As the strawberry tree is a spontaneous plant that is well adapted to the conditions of the region (namely the forest fires that repeatedly ravage it) and Medronho is a traditional drink, we decided to plant a strawberry tree grove on our land and start producing superior quality and naturally organic Medronho brandy in our recently built artisanal distillery. We called it VIRA LOBOS.

D'EYRAS was born in 2015, driven by the desire to return to the village where the family was born and lived continuously for more than 8 generations. Honouring the uniqueness of its origins and the commitment to respect the land where the family settled before 1780.
