Ocimum minimum

Known as "manjerico" in Portugal, commonly also named lovers herb", is the official plant of the Popular Saints* Festivals which take place in Portugal during the month of June. This annual, very aromatic plant originally from India, long ago literally took root in our traditions, it is a habit that the boys offer their girlfriends flowerpots with manjerico as a proof of their love.
