About the exhibition:
"The exhibition INTERIORS evokes some of the most striking interiors designed in Portugal, between 1900 and 1999, in an architectural installation that also shows how renewed geometries and compositions of the exhibition space have been attempted.  INTERIORS has the purpose to contribute for a more detailed analysis and a greater disclosure of these public and private spaces, raising the awareness for their real heritage and cultural significance. Through this selection, it is possible to know a little better the taste, the languages and the architectural culture of each period, in conjunction with different socio-economic contexts. But also to evaluate the different answers given to issues like welfare, privacy and safety, comfort and aesthetic quality or how the new materials have been equated. We unveil some spaces projected by por Álvaro Siza Vieira, Alberto Caetano, António Pedro Portugal Mendonça & Manuel Maria Reis, Conceição Silva, Cristino da Silva, Cassiano Branco, Daciano Costa, Eduardo Afonso Dias, Egas José Vieira, Fernando Távora, Fernando Salvador e Margarida Grácio Nunes, Luís Bevilacqua, Marques da Silva, Manuel Graça Dias, Raul Lino, Tomás Taveira or Ventura Terra, while aiming to draw the attention to the importance of the excellence and preservation of the places where we live in."
