This is the biography of the "mother" of the Portuguese children's literature, Ana de Castro Osório, part of the collection Portuguese Great Lives, published by Pato Lógico, in partnership with The Portuguese Mint and Official Printing Office (INCM).

It is true that women can make a lot of different things at the same time. It is also true that a hundred years ago, no one wasted time "liking" on Facebook, nor playing for hours on the cellphone, nor picking between fifty different brands of breakfast cereals. Ana de Castro Osório had the luck and freedom to be able to use her time to think, write and be useful to society. Afterall, it was what she liked most to do. If she lived in our days, would she be called "superwoman"? Would she be diagnosed as an "hyperactive child"?

Great Portuguese Lives is a collection that results from a partnership between Pato Lógico and The Portuguese Mint and Official Printing Office (INCM), and it is dedicated to the lives of important Portuguese figures, who stand out in various domains of our History.
