"The Sam Baron X Maria collection celebrates the local craftsmanship of the Portuguese family company.

Maria is the name of the grandmother of the owners of the ceramic production company in the Porto de Mós region, which uses the regional natural resource of terracotta. Sam was inspired by the functional and decorative objects produced by Grandmother Maria and reworked the details that make them unique in a contemporary way. Friezes, curves and undulations compose the shapes of the vases and bowls.The glazes, in shades of green, beige, and blue, applied to the top of the vessels embellish the raw clay and evoke the natural beauty of the region's landscape.

The volumes, sizes and finishes allow for the creation of compositions, such as landscapes that pay homage to the land."
