Lovingly made for what seems like ages, the clay molded by hand and carefully painted, in the land of Barcelos, renowned for giving the world more than the roosters (known as Galos de Barcelos). Ranging from the more traditional figures to the more modern, they are used to enliven both St. John's party decorations in June and the nativity scenes in December. For all seasons, a national handcraft delight.
