Jorge Colombo drew from life more than 40 A Vida Portuguesa products. His own favorite is a depiction of the Viarco pencil box since, as a child in the 1960s, he used a similar one as he began drawing. This series of pictures, however, was created on an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil (programmed to have a texture resembling a vintage crayon). Colombo lives in the United States since 1989. His illustration work has been featured on the cover of "The New Yorker" and the Portuguese edition of "Granta" magazine.
