Cleopatra wasn’t familiar with the concept of boosting collagen production but she was devoted to donkey milk, thus inspiring soap bars around the world. But Tomelo saw the scrumptious suds as something else: an opportunity to help preserve and protect the indigenous breed of donkeys from northern Trás-os-Montes, widely known as “Miranda Donkey”. Tomelo even made a body-scrub version, wrapping the soap in wool from local sheep. The pure, precious milk can be further enriched with almond, lavender, lily of the valley, verbena or olive oil, making the best of each individual aroma while catering to the specific needs of different skin types. We love donkeys, but humans deserve a little taking care as well.
