Digitalis purpurea

Ornamental and medicinal. It's a biennial plant that flowers in the second year. Its flower stalks can reach 180 cm in height. During springtime its sophisticated flowers are reminiscent of bells and thimbles. Greatly appreciated by bees. Any medicinal use should be made with care and upon further consultation. Adapts to different types of soil, preferring well drained places that are less exposed to the sun.
