Tcharan is a publishing house dedicated primarily to the publication of illustrated books, aimed particularly at children and young people. We began in 2010 with the book ''A Crocodila Mandona'', and we haven’t looked back since.

The name Tcharan came about through a combination of help from friends and a stroke of luck. We wanted help choosing a name, so we set a challenge titled ‘Tcharan’.
After many suggestions, someone pointed out that the ideal name had been there all along: the word ‘Tcharan’.
This was the very first word in our challenge, and we accepted it.
