200ml Saloio" olive oil tin. In 1878, Manuel da Silva Torrado set up shop in Lisbon, selling olive oil. Today, the brand continues to distribute "Saloio", "Triunfo" and "Santa Maria" olive oils, in their distinctive, magnificent tins. Because they travel very well, they are extremely popular abroad, with tourists that visit the country or Portuguese emigrants from Brazil, US, Canada or the world over.
Mostly made from the “galega” olives from the groves in Alentejo, these days they are produced with modern techniques, but remain a favourite of those who prefer a fruity olive oil, with a fine, light and scented flavour.
