At DEPOZITO, on December 13th at 3:30 PM, we invite you to join us for the presentation of the book "Bestiário de Arraiolos" by Teresa Carvalheira, published by Vai Vem, with the author and editors present.

This is a Bestiary of the Alentejo region, showcasing the fauna, flora, and other life forms depicted in the enchanting Arraiolos carpets. Between the historic animal-patterned carpets and their contemporary commercial interpretations, the essence of the Alentejo spirit and cultural heritage is captured.

The afternoon will also include the launch of a limited-edition risograph poster illustrated by designer Sofia Paz.

Drinks and traditional Alentejo biscuits besta(s) ("beast(s)") will be served, made by artist Mariana Martins de Oliveira!

Teresa Carvalheira (1991) is a designer, researcher, and seamstress interested in social and climate justice. She was community manager for Fashion Revolution Portugal and is now focused on participatory research processes for the transmission of artisanal techniques and speculative anthropology related to textile fibers.

Vai Vem is a publishing house dedicated to the production and publication of content in the fields of Design and Culture, focusing on Research, Criticism, Fiction, and Project.
