New edition of the book "Genuine and Touching Products of Portuguese Creation"

Launched in January 2025, the new edition of the book "Genuine and Touching Products of Portuguese Creation", published in Portuguese and English, tells the story of around 40 products and brands represented by A Vida Portuguesa and illustrated by Jorge Colombo.

Jorge Colombo drew dozens of products for the A Vida Portuguesa shops. His favorite drawing is the box of Viarco pencils because it was with them that he began drawing as a child in the 1960’s. This series of images was created on an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil (programmed to obtain a line similar to that of a color pencil).

One of the internationally best-known Portuguese illustrators, Jorge Colombo lives in the United States since 1989 and has worked regularly as a cover artist for "The New Yorker" magazine (for which he created the first cover drawn on a smartphone) and other publications, including the Portuguese edition of "Granta". Previously, he collaborated with A Vida Portuguesa several times, mainly as a graphic designer.
