A Vida Portuguesa and Portugal Jewels have joined forces, for the first time, to recreate the traditional "medals with sayings," which are now available as gifts this Christmas!

We've always sold the traditional ones, but it's with great joy that we announce this brand-new collaboration that we've been cooking up with lots of love! A Vida Portuguesa and Portugal Jewels have joined forces, for the first time, to recreate the traditional "saying medals," which are now available as gifts this Christmas!

Of old European origin, medals with sayings are for a long time deeply rooted in our tradition of popular goldsmithing. Amulets to cherish those who are in your heart, they carry messages that we want engraved for eternity. These NOVOS DIZERES ("NEW SAYINGS") medals are the result of a collaboration between A Vida Portuguesa and Portugal Jewels. Handmade in 19.2K Portuguese gold and colored enamel, they display original designs and new messages inspired by tradition.

Believing that objects are capable of telling extraordinary stories – about a people and their peculiar tastes, about a society and its context, about a history that is ultimately common – A Vida Portuguesa was born from the desire to revalue the quality of Portuguese manufactured goods and the wish to reveal the country in a surprising way. 

Portugal Jewels is a Portuguese jewelry brand, born between Gondomar and Lisbon. Currently in its third generation, this family business is dedicated to preserving and promoting the heritage of Portuguese jewelry making.
